Features of the 2021 Ford F-150When you want a powerhouse of a work truck, consider the 2021 Ford F-150. This rugged full-size pickup truck with powerful engine choices and off-road capability is an appealing vehicle for those interested in having a truck they can use on the job site or tow a boat to the lake with. Check out these amazing features of the 2021 F-150.

Several Trim Levels and Configurations

Several trim levels make up the lineup of the F-150. The trim levels are XL, XLT, Lariat, King Ranch, Platinum, Limited, and the off-road-ready Raptor. It’s easy to find the truck that fits your needs and lifestyle with the three cab options — regular cab, SuperCab, and SuperCrew — that can be configured with multiple bed lengths.

The F-150 is made to help you work on the job site. You’ll find several tie-down cleats and pockets for C-clamps integrated into the tailgate. Also in the tailgate are built-in rulers, cup holders, and places to put pencils and other small tools. Available with select engines is the Pro Power Onboard system that provides between 2.0 and 7.2-kilowatts, creating a portable generator. The generator has varying 120-volt and 240-volt outlets to help you run power tools right from the back of the truck.

Powerful Engines and Performance

With several engine options to choose from, you can pick the one that best suits how you plan on using your F-150. Engine options are a 3.3-liter V-6, a 5.0-liter V-8, a twin-turbo 2.7-liter V-6, a twin-turbo 3.5-liter V-6, and a 3.0-liter diesel V-6. Each of the engines produces varying amounts of horsepower and torque, and they pair with a 10-speed automatic transmission.

New for 2021, Ford has introduced a hybrid version of the F-150 for all trim levels. Under the hood, you’ll get the 3.5-liter twin-turbo V-6 engine that mates with a 35-kilowatt electric motor and a 1.5-kilowatt-hour liquid-cooled lithium-ion battery that gives the truck a range of 700 miles.

Choose between rear-wheel drive and four-wheel drive when you need extra traction for towing or when driving on uneven terrain. The Raptor trim is equipped to get you out on the trails right off the showroom floor with beefed-up suspension, Fox shocks, skid plates to protect the undercarriage, and a wider wheelbase.

Modern Interior

Because the shift lever folds flat against the center console, you get plenty of flat space to lay out blueprints or plans, making the cabin a job site workplace. Standard for all trims is an 8-inch touch screen, or you can choose the optional 12-inch version. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration are standard, and you can upgrade with optional features like voice-activated navigation, the 4G LTE Wi-Fi hot spot, and a Bang and Olufsen stereo system.

Safety Features

With a truck as powerful as the F-150, it’s nice to know that there are several standard and available driver-assist features using Ford’s Co-Pilot360 system. Key safety features include pre-collision warning with automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, and lane-keep assist. Key available features include adaptive cruise control and lane-departure warning.
