Ford Delivers Your Electric Mustang in 2021The legendary pony car name takes on a whole new meaning for the 2021 model year. With a big jolt of lightning, the past and the future collide in the Mach-E. Although both Mustangs share familiar styling cues, this crossover is powered exclusively by electricity. The contemporary cabin is outfitted with cutting-edge infotainment options, and it offers several unique storage solutions. Let’s get to know Ford’s newest contribution to the electric SUV class.

Outstanding Performance

The 2021 Mustang Mach-E is Ford’s first all-electric crossover. This setup makes between 255 and 332 horsepower and between 306 and 417 pound-feet of torque. The Premium variant offers powerful fast-charging capability thanks to an extended-range, 98.8-kWh battery pack. The Mach-E’s standard range 75.7-kWh battery feeds an electric motor mounted on the rear axle and provides up to 300 miles of driving range.

Why not upgrade to the powertrain option with two electric motors, like on the sporty GT model? This combination attaches to both axles and creates an appealing all-wheel-drive system with a 270-mile range. Combined, the motors produce 459 horsepower and 612 pound-feet of torque. According to Ford, this variant can hit the 60 mph mark in under four seconds.

Fast Charging Capability

Ford offers one of the country’s largest charging networks, with up to 35,000 stations in the U.S. and Canada. Get up to 30 miles of range per night with every Mach-E’s 120-volt mobile charger or up to 80% battery life overnight with a 240-volt outlet.

Attractive and Spacious Interior Design

The Mach-E’s cabin comes with a plethora of slick, futuristic elements, including push-button start, heated front seats, customizable ambient lighting, proximity entry, a heated steering wheel, and a panoramic sunroof. You and your tall passengers are going to love its 39.3 inches of rear headroom and an expansive 38.1 inches of rear-seat legroom.

Versatile Storage Options

With its battery stowed neatly away under the floor, the Mach-E provides loads of cargo room. This crossover touts 29 cubic feet of cargo space behind the back seats and up to 60 cubes with them folded down. You’ll also appreciate the addition of a front trunk that’s made of durable plastic. Thanks to the drain, it can easily be rinsed out, making it ideal for storing ice or muddy gear. A floating armrest conceals a handy storage bin, while the center console offers a space big enough to stash a couple of phones.

Infotainment and Connectivity

A huge 15.5-inch vertically mounted touch screen runs Ford’s next-generation SYNC infotainment system. It’s fully customizable for up to four driver profiles, and the responsive touch screen provides easy access to the system’s array of features. You’ll appreciate the connectivity of Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and a mobile Wi-Fi hot spot, plus a premium audio system. Its streamlined dashboard hosts an attractive 10.2-inch digital instrument panel.

Ford delivers an electric crossover with a muscle car name for the new model year. It’s by far one of the blue oval’s hottest ticket items for 2021. Get to your local showroom for a test drive of the Mach-E.
