Off-road and car enthusiasts are excited about the release of the 2021 Ford Bronco Sport. The Sport is built slightly different from its cousin the Ford Bronco, but still offers rugged Bronco styling, off-road capability, and a roomy, comfortable interior. Check out these key features of the 2021 Bronco Sport to see why everyone is thrilled about the launch of this crossover compact SUV.

Modern Exterior Styling

You get five trim levels to choose from: Base, Big Bend, Outer Banks, Badlands, and First Edition. Each one of these trims offers something unique, whether you’re planning on using the Sport for off-roading or for on-road driving. Rugged styling with a modern sleek design gives the Bronco Sport a great look whether you’re driving to a camp spot for a few days, or driving into the city for an evening out.

The squared-off, color-contrast roof, one-piece front grille with “BRONCO” embossed on it, and circular headlights complete the classic Bronco appearance. On the rear of the SUV is the “BRONCO SPORT” badging differentiating it from its cousin.

Solid Performance

Under the hood of the Base, Big Bend, and Outer Banks is a 1.5-liter turbocharged EcoBoost three-cylinder engine that produces 181 horsepower and 190 pound-feet of torque. When you want a bit more power, opt for the off-road-ready Badlands or the limited First Edition. The engine for both of these trims is a 2.0-liter turbocharged EcoBoost four-cylinder engine that gives you 245 horsepower and 275-pound-feet of torque. Both engines pair with an eight-speed automatic transmission for seamless shifting.

Four-wheel drive is standard across the trim lineups as well as Ford’s selectable terrain management system affectionately called G.O.A.T (Goes Over Any Terrain). Badlands and First Edition feature two extra driving modes to help increase traction on uneven terrain.

Roomy Interior

With a nod to the Bronco Sport’s adventurous spirit, inside you’ll find several features such as optional rubberized mats, easy-clean cloth upholstery, and a useful tailgate area. When the hatch of the car is open, LED lights flood the area, and you can prepare food or organize gear on the slide-out table. A 400-watt inverter helps provide electricity for appliances or tools.

Five people sit comfortably in the two rows of seats and there’s plenty of room for luggage and supplies. With both rows of seats upright, you get 32.5 cubic feet of cargo space. Fold the second row down, and your cargo space increases to 65.2 cubic feet which can securely hold a couple of mountain bikes.

Ford’s Synch 3 infotainment system features an 8-inch touch screen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration. Use voice command to access your playlists, Amazon Alexa, and navigation systems.

Safety Features

It’s nice to know that your powerful Bronco Sport comes equipped with several standard and available driver-assist features under the Ford-Co-Pilot360 bundle of safety features. A couple of the features include blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, forward-collision warning with automatic emergency braking, lane-keep assist, and adaptive cruise control.
